What Trump’s Second Term Could Mean for DEI

The article highlights the challenges that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts will face under Donald Trump’s second presidential term, given his administration’s commitment to dismantling DEI initiatives through executive orders, policy changes, and judicial appointments. Drawing parallels to strategies for LGBTQ+ inclusion in hostile countries, we propose three models for organizations to sustain DEI. Within these models, we encourage organizations, particularly larger ones, to take bold actions that push back against the backlash and drive systemic change.
